Any of the texture analyser range can be used for the product tests listed below.

A selection of special attachments and typical measurements are also shown which are commonly used in this application area. However, this does not show the complete range of attachments available for the testing of bakery products. Test procedures include: compression, puncture/penetration, tension, fracture/bending, extrusion, cutting/shearing.

The Texture Analyser range is capable of quantifying a wide variety of the adhesive properties of such products as:

  • Adhesives/Glues

  • Bandages

  • Paints, inks, etc

  • Hot Melt products

  • Packaging

  • Gums

  • Coatings

  • Caulkings

  • Labels

  • Creams/lotions

  • Resins

  • Deodorant sticks

  • Sealants

  • Solder paste

  • Waxes

  • Adhesive tapes (Double-sided, Duct, Electrical, Foam Backed, Masking, Office, Packaging)

  • Gels: silicon, medical, cosmetic

  • Transdermal patches

Adhesives can be tested at constant temperature using a Peltier Plate.

Many of the parameters that can be quantified with the Stable Micro Systems Texture Analyser range and its software are not otherwise quantifiable with alternative instruments. Measurements allow the viewing of subtle differences between different formulas, chemical ingredients and manufacturing processes. For QC/QA production, verification of batch conformity to an existing standard can be checked and a comparison of consistency between batches, shifts and different manufacturing facilities can be made.
